Haflanta September 27-28th 2014 Belly Dance Workshop Weekend

This is the fourth year of Haflanta, and this year we're offering workshops at all our four locations in Metro Atlanta. Haflanta means Hafla in Atlanta, and Hafla is arabic for dance party. So this is what Haflanta is all about - party time at the Nazeem Allayl Studios. Instructors from four studios come togher on the weekend of September 27-28th, teach workshops that are either student favorites or specialty workshops that are usually only taught to troupe members. This event is only once a year, so don't miss it and register now:

Workshops Saturday, September 27th '14

Brookhaven Studio

Sat 12:30-2pm: Feel the Rhythm w/Schadia - Find the layers in music and interpret them with dance. $19 ($24 @ door)

Sat 2:30-4pm: Double Isolations w/Schadia - Drills for advanced layering of moves.  $19 ($24 @ door)

Vinings - Allure Studio

Sat 10-11am:  Basic Belly Dance Technique w/Zeyna - Learn a few basic belly dance moves, and then use them in instructor led dances. $10 drop in

Sat 11:30-1pm: Arabian Nights w/Zeyna - Explore the glamorous, graceful and traditional belly dance. $19 ($24 @ door)

Sat 1:15-2:45pm: Sword Stylings of the Fierce and Fabulous w/Dilan - Technique for sword dancing. $19 ($24 @ door) Prop: Sword $19+

Saturday Night: Hafla Dance Party

Sun 11am-12:30: Abs-olutely Fabulous Abs w/Sabeen Define, isolate, and strengthen your abs. $19 ($24 @ door)

Sun 1-2:30: Playing with Fire w/Najla - Candle dance technique and combinations. $19 ($24 @ door) Prop: Candle holder pair $24

Sun 3-4:30: Liquid Fusion w/Marwa- Hip hop belly dance technique and combinations $19 ($24 @ door)

Peachtree Corners Studio

Sun 10am-11:30: Killer Zills w/Marjaan - Popular zill patterns, accents, and zillable combinations. $19 ($24 @ door) Prop: Zill set $12+

Sun 12-1:30pm: The Big 3 w/Zaara - Exploring Egyptian, Lebanese, and Turkish belly dance styles. $19 ($24 @ door)

Sun 2-4:30pm: Rannet Al Tabla Choreography  w/Haleema -  Rannet al Tabla is a super fun drum solo choreography. A drum solo means the orchestra is silent, only the drummers are playing and the dancer is interpreting the music with her dance.  It will also be performed by student groups in our Fall studio show and is your last chance to learn this dance.
$29 ($35 @ door;  $15 refresher rate if you previously learned this dance in a 5 week course).
Note: You don't need to be in the show to take this workshop.
