Do's and Don'ts of Restaurant Style Dancing

Schadia has performed in restaurants for many years and has trained countless other dancers in the art of restaurant style dancing. In this "Restaurant Style" series of courses, she shares her experience and expertise.

In this "Do's and Don'ts of Restaurant Style Dancing" course, we will examine each week one or more situations that frequently occur in restaurant style dancing, analyze different ways of how it could be handled, and learn the best way of handling it. We will examine right and wrong reactions based on the consequences for the dancer, the customers, and the restaurant owner. And most importantly, we will learn to anticipate problematic situations and learn ways to avoid them to begin with.

Topics can range from handling tips, working with a dj/live drummer, sound system mishaps, customers who want to dance with you "during your fire dance", your choice of custumes and props and how it impacts your show, and much more.

This course consists of part lecture, part group activity, part active dancing.
